twangLINK

twangLINK aims to slowly build bridges between the many fine musicians, eccentric inventors, non-conformist artists and various creative souls we have dealt with over the years, and many more we have yet to meet. It will be a slow burner, no doubt, but hopefully become a useful resource for world wide twangsters marketing their art & music, gear & guitars, ideas & musical services. We can link directly to an established site, set up a dedicated web page, or simply insert a classified 'For Sale' ad.

We will not give out e-mail addresses directly (unless folks want us to) as we are all to aware of the tides of junk mail sloshing around. We will feature links to complementary websites. It is not an open forum, and we only invite folks to post if we believe they are genuine and trustworthy*, but we aren’t psychic, OK? Alternatively if you are interested in posting a link or having a dedicated page (such as FramusVILLE and the very mysterious, somewhat clandestine, not to say downright strange, VHA Guitar Owners' Club) so please get in touch with us at this email address and lets see what we can do.

The usual caveats must apply for buyers here as obviously we can’t guarantee any of the items / services being advertised on this page, so please (as with all things in life) proceed with due caution at all times, ask sensible questions, give accurate answers; and let’s do it all with a modicum of respect and civility and free ourselves from the corporate market place that leaves us all (whether buyers or sellers) much worse off .**

FramusVILLE: gates to perhaps RE-OPEN!

November2009 Outreach

Mayor McSmiffy of ‘FramusVILLE.co.uk’ (probably one of the finest private collections of vintage and modern Framus guitars in Europe) has decided to instruct the town’s trusty watch dog and guardian, Framutt, to 'peacefully' allow some of its Bavarian made residents to move on to pastures new.

Not that he is a bad dog,

just a little over zealous at times. How soon or how often the great gates will open (and how accommodating the town’s ever alert canine will be) we have no way of knowing, but rest assured any infrequent exodus will be featured here on twangLINK where we will be hosting FramusVILLE.

Good grief, twangsters, what IS all this Vox hybridised multiple-planed cubist Tele mutation business about then?

All is now revealed by our latest (and by a long way most eccentric to date) addition to the twangLINK roster, the VHA Owners' Guitar Club or is that the VHA Guitar Owner's Club (aka 'Vhagoc', the Klingon god of music, so they say)?

Whatever the truth, this lot are more secretive than the Masons, more inscrutable than a bloomin' Yorkshire pudding hiding in a Tupperware box...... After some thought, and a quick strong expresso, we unanimously decided to offer them a place in twangLINK. Initially thinking we would live to regret it, today we have actually seen and played one of these unique creations (a Quadratone), and were knocked out by it.

If ever twang came in an odd shaped box, this IS that box!!
