the brokerage outline + changes twangCORPacts as an outlet for the personally owned instruments of the partners in twangCORP + our trusted friends/associates for which we take a commission on sales. Likewise we partly fund our increasingly minimal studio from the sales of ex-studio rack equipment, mixers + recorders alongside guitar amplifiers + assorted 'gizmos' (footpedals, preamps etc).
We tend to feature unusual or specialised gear that we are no longer using or have simply enjoyed owning (ie acted as guardian for). For example there is a particular bias toward archtops, jazz guitars and 'telecasters' of all types, but be sure that's not all!
The side bar always carries more information, updates + links.
All instruments + equipment are: > carefully described + photographed. fully checked + assessed before listing, and again before packing + dispatch.
> fully set up where required.
> packed to insurance compliant standards often using our own packing cartons.
> sent with full insurance cover via proven, reliable couriers such as UPS, FedEx or DHL. Feel free to ask any detailed questions you might have or request a specific photo. Personal inspections can always be arranged or even an 'in hand' telephone inspection.
guitar brokerage (link) Guitars scheduled to come onto the market in the next few weeks will include:
equipment brokerage (link) The new equipment gallery follow the template of the guitar gallery, once we we are confident. It is currently languishing in a pre-furbishment state. When finished, upcoming scheduled listings will include:
Zoom GX1 floor pedal. Incredibly versatile floorboard with amps, FX and speaker sims.(possibly 2 of them will be available, as Mo always keeps a spare). Particularly useful for quickly recording demos using one's favourite settings, with USB access to recording straight into a DAW - although we prefer to just plug it in the old fashioned way.
Yamaha DGFX 112 Combo. There are 2 available: 1 x Eminence speaker (link)and1x Celestion special edition (link). This is a more versatile version of the earlier DG80 and DG100 models partly designed by Greg Howe and Allan Holdsworth. It has a highly programmable FX, with the best (and most adjustable) rotary cabinet effect for gigging that we have ever found. Basically a DG STOMP with a amp/speaker.
Koch Jupiter 40W Hybrid Valve Combo with Koch footswitch.

twangCORP: ebay (link to follow) We have been generally quiet of late on ebay, primarily because of the dreaded fees, but unexpected changes in the last month or so once more makes this a potentially useful avenue for private sales in 2025. Accordingly we have resurrected our old twangCORP account.
So, instead of selling via our private account (which received various ebay fee offers from time to time) it seems appropriate to revert to the dedicated twangCORP account (which has been in existence for over 20 years) for selling, and maybe even some buying.
twangCORP: Reverb (link) Reverb had been our favoured avenue for some time for many good reasons, but the fees (initially 4% to 5%) that started out reasonable have just about doubled while ebay have just cut 10% fees on private sales while implementing (temporary?) free listings.
Neither extreme is useful in the long run. Let us make it very clear, twangCORP does not begrudge fees at all, we charge fees ourselves for a much broader service, but often these creeping + uncertain fees are often tied into additional payment or credit mechanisms, which distorts the paying field for smaller, specialist firms.
We like the specialised 'musicians' community' nature of Reverb, and many things besides (not least the excellent customer service), so just hope Reverb will pull back from becoming ebay 2.0. We'd certainly rather pay 4% or 5% to Reverb than nothing at all to ebay, but on expensive goods these small percentage increments can make all the difference. OK, rant over + fingers crossed.
