Cort TRG-2 + Tanglewood TRG-1 Jim Triggs

Rather wonderful Korean made guitars (in the same 'World Guitars' factory, which has produced guitars for all the leading USA firms, but the names on the headstocks are different). Both are designed and overseen by ex-Gibson master luthier Jim Triggs who lends his name to them. Mt Triggs also makes his own highly sought after, and very, very expensive, hand made jazz guitars.

The quaility and thought put into these original guitar designs is above and beyond the usual. Certain reviewers on Harmony Central openly state that they prefer these Triggs' models to their obvious US ? Japanes made cousins. Others bemoan Gibson not adopting the design (given that Jim was one of its master luthiers at the time).

TRG-2: Take a archetypal Gretsch G6120 twin pickup rockabilly guitar, cross it with a Gibson 135/137 to give upper fret access, Gibson scale length, fixed bridge and a Florentine cutaway but still keep it hollow. Add Gretsch style parallel tone bar bracing and a pronounced mid depth to make sure it has an acoustic presence and can get well into Gibson 175 territory. Finish it ff with a Bigsby!

TRG-1: Take the basic TRG-2 concept but only focus on those elements found on the best jazz guitars, single pickup, wooden floating bridge instead of the fixed bridge, tailpiece etc.

These are are serious instruments.
We can offer:
4 of the TRG-2 models: 2 x v1 and 2 x v2 in both black and organge finishes!!
2 of the TRG-1 model are available in either Teal/sea foam or Orange finishes.
