I will be going into more detail in the coming days/weeks (assuming everything remains settled) as we are continue to change the studio over to something entirely free of computers and software.
Our investment in old-skool computer independent recording tech (mainly but not exclusively analogue) remains remains undiminished, and recent arrivals include a low gain analogue pre-amp (Quilter), a Tascam DP24 v.1. from 2016 with MIDI and an equally neat Tascam portable recorder from 2008. The latter two Tascams took a bit of coaxing at first, but are both now operating and in situ in the (now crowded) music room.
Space is what we need, but until decisions are made in September on the investment in future premises we will embrace the clutter. Meanwhile keep an eye out for necessary sales, and at present we have a rather nice Orange Guitar Butler analogue preamp up for grabs on eBay with other gear (amps. studio gizmos and guitars) to follow.
